To promote #menstrual_hygiene in schools, SaCoDe was able to raise funds during the year 2020 in the campaign '#TUGUMIZE_UMWIGEME_KW_ISHURE ' to buy washable and reusable sanitary pads #AGATEKA to young schoolgirls in #RUYIGI and #RUTANA province.

To promote #menstrual_hygiene in schools, SaCoDe was able to raise funds during the year 2020 in the campaign '#TUGUMIZE_UMWIGEME_KW_ISHURE ' to buy washable and reusable sanitary pads #AGATEKA to young schoolgirls in #RUYIGI and #RUTANA province.
It is with this in mind that from February 8 to 11, 2021, the SACODE team is in RUYIGI province to educate and distribute AGATEKA towels to the 1000 schoolgirls in that province.
Note that these school girls were chosen in the 7 communes of RUYIGI province by the communal principals of education (#DCE) in collaboration with the directors of the #basic_schools, each who identified #143 schoolgirls by municipality sorted according to the criteria of vulnerability.
Education authorities in this province welcome this initiative, hope for a very positive impact in these school girls receiving the #AGATEKA sanitary pads, and advocate for other school girls while pointing out that the number of towels given is still very little compared to school girls who are in this province.
