CIBITOKE CENTER
The SaCoDé CIBITOKE center is located very close to the Cibitoke area, more precisely on the paved road leading to the Bancobu Cibitoke and the Imperial Hotel. The center began operations on March 13, 2018. It is one of the 9 SaCoDé centers located in the different provinces of the country.
The CIBITOKE Province in which SaCoDé operates covers an area of 1636km2 and is located in the west of the country. Bordered by the DRC and RWANDA, the province is surrounded by RWANDA to the north, BUBANZA to the south, KAYANZA to the east and the DRC to the west. Province Cibitoke is made up of 6 communes, namely:
BUGANDA,
BUKINANYANA,
MABAYI,
MUGINA,
MURWI and RUGOMBO.
SaCoDé operates in 5 of the 6 communes, namely:
BUGANDA,
MABAYI,
MUGINA,
MURWI and RUGOMBO.
The majority of the population lives from agriculture and livestock farming, and the adult population is 604,090. The terrain is rugged and difficult to access. The adult population, i.e. those over 18 in the 5 communes, is 522,764. This is a province with a high incidence of cohabitation. A total of 26140 common-law households were counted throughout the province.
