KARUSI CENTER
The SaCoDé Karusi center began operations in 2018, is located in the Buhiga commune on the Muyinga road and has 26 employees including: 20 seamstresses, 1 production manager, 2 support staff, 4 mentors and 1 Center Coordinator.
The province of Karusi is located in the center of the country and its population amounts to 597,576 in 2019 on an area of 1,457 km2. The majority of the population lives from agriculture and small livestock breeding.
Despite their agricultural production, Karusi province is too affected by famine due to a population that is growing a lot, hence the intervention of several organizations to raise awareness of the change in mentality.
