"Quelle belle rentrée pour SaCoDé!!!"

La rentrée 2017 du programme Isuku

Cela fait maintenant 5 ans que le projet Isuku de SaCoDé propose aux femmes issues des milieux défavorisés une formation aux techniques modernes de nettoyage et d’entretien des locaux ainsi qu’une formation au métier de la couture. Le but de ces formations est de leur donner l’opportunité d’améliorer leur avenir socioprofessionnel.

Comme à chaque rentrée, la directrice exécutive de SaCoDé, Mme Françoise NIBIZI, a tenu le discours de bienvenue et a présenté le projet Isuku aux femmes souhaitant participer à l’une des deux formations. C’est ainsi qu’elle a pu instaurer un climat de confiance avec les 19 participantes qui, au fur à mesure que la séance avançait, ont commencé à exprimer un vif intérêt pour le programme de formation.

C’est en employant à plusieurs reprises le mot « kwigenga » (être indépendant ou encore s’auto-suffire) ainsi que le dicton burundais qui dit « Uwudakora Ntakarye » (qui ne tente rien n’a rien) dans son discours de présentation, que la directrice exécutive a voulu sensibiliser son assemblée aux valeurs qu’elle souhaite partager au sein de son organisation et expliquer l’objectif principale du programme Isuku; offrir aux femmes burundaises issues des milieux défavorisés les moyens d’apprendre un métier qui leur permettra de subvenir à leurs propres besoins et les aidera ainsi à devenir autonome. Par la suite, les participantes ont assisté à leur première séance de cours dispensé par Cynthia Akimana, (Chargée des ressources humaines et Responsable du projet Isuku) et Jeanne Havyarimana (ancienne bénéficiaire de la formation Isuku devenue membre active de l’association SaCoDé).

C’est par des chants, une prière et de forts applaudissements que la première promotion de l’année 2017 du programme Isuku a clôturé et célébré sa rentrée.

A notre grand plaisir, elles ont toutes assisté aux séances qui ont suivis et jusqu’à aujourd’hui aucune d’entre elles n’a manqué à l’appel. De plus, nous avons récemment eu la chance d’accueillir deux nouvelles participantes. Quelle belle rentrée pour SaCoDé!!!

The first Isuku class of 2017

It has now been 5 years since SaCoDé's Isuku project offers women from underprivileged backgrounds training in modern cleaning and maintenance techniques and training in dressmaking. The aim of these courses is to give them the opportunity to improve their social and professional future.

As it is at the beginning of each training, SaCoDé’s Executive Director Françoise Nibizi welcome the the first class of 2017 and presented the Isuku project to them. This way, she was able to create a climate of trust with the 19 participants who, as the session progressed, began to express a keen interest in the training program. It was by repeatedly using the word "kwigenga" (being independent or self-sufficient) as well as the Burundian saying that "Uwudakora Ntakarye" (who tries nothing has nothing) in her speech that the Executive Director raised awareness of the values ​​that guide her organization and explain the main objective of the Isuku program: To provide Burundian women from disadvantaged backgrounds with the means to learn a trade that will enable them to meet their own needs and thus help them to become self-reliant. Subsequently, participants attended their first session with Cynthia Akimana (Human Resources Officer and Isuku Project Manager) and Jeanne Havyarimana (a former beneficiary of the Isuku training who now works at SaCoDé).

It is with songs, a prayer and strong applause that the first Isuku class of 2017 closed and celebrated its first day of training.

To our delight, all participants have attended the sessions that followed, and to date none of them has missed the call. In addition, we have recently had the opportunity to welcome two new participants. What a great start of the year for SaCoDé!!!
