I am grateful to SaCoDé!

My name is Ndayisenga Gelase, I live in Kinanira, a native of Mwaro. I am one of the beneficiaries of the ISUKU project of the SaCoDé organization. In 2013, I was introduced to the SaCoDé organization by a friend, who told me that there was a place where I can get a training on modern cleaning techniques. At that time, I was desperately looking for a job because I had just spent 2 years unemployed. My D6 diploma obtained at the Lycée Pédagogique was useless and I was ready to do any kind of work. I therefore went to the SaCoDé office where I met Mrs. Françoise NIBIZI, the Director of the organization. She welcomed me warmly, explained to me what the project was and the conditions to be met in order to benefit from the training. I immediately started with the training, followed by work to put into practice the notions learned about the modern cleaning and maintenance techniques of homes and premises in different hotels here in Bujumbura. At the end of the practical training, SaCoDé got me an internship at the Café Gourmand, an internship that later turned into a job. I spent 8 months there. Then, SaCoDé got me a job at the Martha Hotel where I spent 3 years and 8 months. Now I'm employed at Tiger's Hotel. I am grateful to Sacodé because now I have a financial autonomy, I can provide for my needs and those of my family. All that I know, all that I have been able to accomplish, I owe it to SaCoDe. I encourage all these young men and women to not to despise any work, not to be discouraged, to knock at all doors.
