RÉUNION AVEC LES RESPONSABLES DE L’EDUCATION DE LA PROVINCE DE BUJUMBURA ET DE LA MAIRIE DE BUJUMBUR

En date du 19 et 22 Janvier 2018, s’est tenue au siège du Bureau de SaCoDé, une réunion avec les responsables des directions provinciales de l’enseignement de la mairie de Bujumbura et ceux de la province Bujumbura plus précisément de la commune Mutimbuzi, zone Gatumba.

La réunion avait pour objectifs de :

• Présenter la mission et la vision de SaCoDé ;

• Echanger sur le contenu du plan d’action 2018 de SaCoDé relatif à l’Education et la sensibilisation sur la santé sexuelle et reproductive dans les écoles de la Mairie de Bujumbura et celles de Bujumbura ;

• Identifier 4 écoles bénéficiaires de nos interventions par commune en collaboration avec ces responsables ;

La réunion s’est bien déroulée, tous les responsables étaient présents au rendez-vous et les objectifs de la réunion ont été atteints. Ensemble, nous avons pu identifier les écoles qui vont bénéficier les interventions de SaCoDé durant 2018, et le choix était guidé par des critères suivants :

• Les écoles ayant enregistré beaucoup de grossesses ;

• Les écoles ayant enregistré beaucoup de mariages précoces et d’abandons scolaires ;

Au total, 16 écoles ont été identifiées. S’exprimant sur les objectifs de notre réunion, tous les responsables conviés à la réunion ont salué notre intervention en matière de la santé sexuelle et reproductive et nous ont témoigné de leur entière collaboration dans l’exécution des activités de SaCoDé. Le directeur provincial de l’enseignement dans la province de Bujumbura quant à lui a proposé d’étendre notre zone d’intervention pour une couverture plus large tout en soulignant par un exemple que le lycée NYABIRABA est la première école de sa province qui enregistre beaucoup de grossesses, de mariages précoces et d’abandons scolaires et qui malheureusement se trouve en dehors de notre zone d’intervention.

MEETING WITH THE LEADERS OF EDUCATION OF THE PROVINCE OF BUJUMBURA AND BUJUMBURA MAYOR

On 19 and 22 January 2018, SaCoDé held at the headquarters Office, a meeting with the heads of the provincial directors of education of Bujumbura Mayor and those of Bujumbura province specifically of the Mutimbuzi commune, Gatumba area.

The objectives of the meeting were:

• Present the mission and vision of SaCoDé;

• Discuss the content of SaCoDé's 2018 Action Plan on Education and Awareness on Sexual and Reproductive Health in the schools of Bujumbura Mayor and Bujumbura province;

• Identify 4 schools beneficiaries of our interventions per commune in collaboration with these officials;

The meeting went well, all the schools officials were present at the meeting and the objectives of the meeting were achieved. Together, we were able to identify the schools that will benefit from SaCoDé's interventions during 2018, and the choice was guided by the following criteria:

• Schools with many unwanted pregnancies;

• Schools with many early marriages and school dropouts;

In total, 16 schools have been identified. Speaking on the objectives of our meeting, all the leaders invited to the meeting welcomed our intervention on sexual and reproductive health and accepted to cooperate in the execution of SaCoDé activities.

The provincial director of education in the province of Bujumbura meanwhile proposed to extend our area of ​​intervention for wider coverage while underlining by an example that NYABIRABA high school is the first school in his province that records a lot pregnancies, early marriages and school dropouts, which is unfortunately outside our area of ​​intervention
