SaCoDé at the Segal connect 2024 summit

Ensemble, nous pouvons améliorer la vie des Burundais.

Partout au Burundi, nos programmes permettent aux communautés de vivre une vie saine et d’améliorer leurs conditions de vie.

From July 15 to 18, 2024, SaCoDé Founder and Executive Director Grace Françoise NIBIZI represented the organization at the first Segal Connect 2024 regional summit in Lilongwe, Malawi. The gathering brought together visionaries, committed stakeholders and donors from across southern Africa, united by a common ambition: to drive positive, sustainable change in the region.

Through a variety of activities, networking, site visits (in person and in virtual reality), and art exhibitions, Segal Connect offered a unique platform for exchange.

SaCoDé seized the opportunity to forge strategic partnerships and share its community health and women's empowerment expertise.

These enriching exchanges inspired new avenues of collaboration and paved the way for new initiatives to strengthen SaCoDé's impact in Burundi. During the summit, the Executive Director of SaCoDé visited the Wandikweza organization to learn about the “mobile nurse” approach, which uses motorcycles to monitor mothers during their pre- and post-natal periods.

It was also an opportunity to meet some of SaCoDé's partners and exchange views on the progress of activities relating to various projects.
