Illuminating the dark: Francine's journey with Oky Burundi.

17 Apr 2024

Together, we can improve the lives of Burundians.

Across Burundi, our programs are empowering communities to live healthy lives and improve their living conditions.

For people who are blind or visually impaired, accessing information on a mobile phone can sometimes pose challenges. However, thanks to the Oky Burundi app, girls with visual impairments now have the support they need to manage their menstrual health independently and with dignity. Here is the testimony from Francine, a beneficiary of the Oky project:

Oky has allowed me to access reliable information about menstruation and reproductive health through the talkback feature that I normally use on my Android phone.
